On Sunday, November 23 at 14 p.m., a lecture titled Biodiversity will be held at the Riemu Museums. The lecturer will be Julia Kemppinen, Associate Professor of Biodiversity Change from the University of Helsinki.

What does natural diversity mean?

The lecture will introduce biodiversity from the perspective of plants. Plants themselves are much more diverse than the abundance of plant species suggests. Plants are also in constant interaction with their environment, which is why it is interesting to also examine the diversity of environments.

Come and listen to a presentation during which you will learn what plant diversity is, what different local climates are, and what is meant by biodiversity.

You can attend the lecture for the price of the museum admission fee.

The lecture is part of the accompanying program of the FLOWERPOWER – World of Flowers exhibition.
