The Lopen Regional Summit brought together municipalities and entrepreneurs to accelerate the development of the region.

The third Regional Summit brought together the municipalities of Hausjärvi, Janakkala, Loppi and Riihimäki, entrepreneurs and developers to discuss the future and investment prospects of the region on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in Loppi. The event strongly highlighted a common desire to develop the region and strengthen its vitality. The region's business associations were involved for the first time. The business associations brought their strong vision to the development of the region.

The regional agreement guiding the development of the region aims to create 1,000 new jobs in the region. Achieving this goal requires close cooperation between municipalities, companies and other actors. The Regional Summits serve as an important meeting place where common goals are taken forward through concrete actions.

The event also discussed the region's investment prospects. "In the coming years, hundreds of millions of euros of investments are planned for the region, which will strengthen the vitality of the area and create new opportunities for business and employment," says Mikko Salmela, Mayor of Loppe.

The four municipalities have a strong shared desire to develop the area, and the atmosphere at the event clearly reflected the desire to move forward.

The active involvement of the region's business organizations was also a significant step forward. Closer cooperation between entrepreneurs and municipalities creates new opportunities for developing vitality, supporting business growth, and attracting new investments to the region.

The strengthening of cooperation is concretely reflected in joint development activities, increased information exchange and better consideration of the needs of companies in decision-making. The region's municipalities and business organizations have committed to continuing close cooperation in order to fully utilize the development potential of the region.

The annual Regional Summits are part of a long-term effort to build a vibrant, growing and collaborative region in the Hausjärvi, Janakkala, Loppi and Riihimäki areas.
