The renovation plan for the Marjapuisto playground and the landscaping plan for the Tellervonpolu pihakatu green area will be on display from 17 to 31.3.2025 March XNUMX.

The aim of the basic renovation of the berry park is to increase the park's comfort and usability as a learning environment. The playground furniture is themed in colour, shape or image according to the theme of Finnish natural berries. The wishes raised in the user survey were taken into account in the furniture choices for the park. In accordance with the wishes, a cup carousel and a sandbox with functions were designed for the playground. In addition, play equipment was placed on a small playing field.

The Tellervonpolku green area previously housed a playground, which has been removed from use in accordance with the Riihimäki Playground Program 2022-2030. The landscaping plan aims to increase the amenity of the green area on Pihakatu and promote the diversity of urban nature. The snow clearance required for winter maintenance has also been taken into account in the plan.

The plans have been made in the urban environment planning service area, and the renewal of the Marjapuisto and Tellervonpolku green areas is part of the implementation of this year's municipal engineering investment program.

The plans can be viewed on the City of Riihimäki website at: https://www.riihimaki.fi/asu-ja-rakenna/kaupungin-rakentaminen/puistot-ja-ulkoliikuntapaikat/
