The first meeting of the new academic year of the Riihimäki City Children's Parliament will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the Monari Youth Center. This time, the Children's Parliament will meet with a new membership.
The meeting will take place during Children's Rights Week (November 17–23). This year, the theme of the week is the child's right to belong. The Children's Parliament is a place where primary school students can have their voice and views heard on current issues in the city.
The program of the gathering includes a theme workshop related to the preparation of the city's environmental policy and a theme workshop on participatory budgeting. Children will influence the measures used to implement environmental policy.

The parliament has a total of 28 members, four students from each elementary school in Riihimäki. Members are elected from the schools annually. The children's parliament meets 2–3 times during the school year. The fourth term and membership of the children's parliament in Riihimäki is now starting.
