The children's parliament of the city of Riihimäki will meet for the last time with its current membership on Wednesday, May 15, at the youth center Monarilla from 9 to 11.30:XNUMX a.m.

The topics of this gathering are the prevention of bullying and the initial ideation of the renovation of the Härkätie playground in Vasikkahaa. In addition, the children receive certificates for serving as members of the Children's Parliament.

Members change annually

The new members of the Children's Parliament are elected in the fall from among the student councils of elementary schools from 1st to 5th graders.

The parliament has a total of 28 members, four students from each elementary school in Riihimäki. Members are elected annually from the schools. The Children's Parliament meets about three times during the school year.
