The survey about the Lehtolantie and Pellavapuisto playgrounds has opened

Renovation planning for the Lehtolantie playground in the Hirsimäki district of Riihimäki and the Pellavapuisto playground in the Tienhaara district is about to begin.

Park users can participate in the planning by completing a short survey. The survey is open until April 7, 2026.

The Urban Environment Planning Service Area is responsible for designing the playgrounds, and construction is tentatively planned to be completed in 2027.

There are about 40 playgrounds on Riihimäki

Riihimäki has about 40 different playgrounds in different parts of the city. On average, a playground is renovated approximately every 15 years. The city's playground program 2022–2030 provides indications of when each local playground will be renovated. The goal is to have about 1–3 playgrounds renovated per year.
