Kokonharju's site plan has gained legal force

Kokonharju's site plan and site plan amendment as well as plot division have entered into force on June 25, 2024.

The Riihimäki city council approved the Kokonharju site plan on May 6. It was possible to appeal the decision for 30 days. Kokonharju's formula gained the force of law, because after the appeal period ended, it was not appealed to the Hämeenlinna Administrative Court.

Kokonharju is a residential area close to nature with small houses in the northeastern part of the city. The area will have a distinctive look and versatile communal housing solutions. A total of 26 residential blocks, one service block, extensive local recreation areas and a playground will be implemented in Kokonharju.

Kokonharju's new site plan allows for 55 single-family or semi-detached plots and six plots on which you can build small apartment buildings, terraced houses, urban small houses and detached houses. By calculation, Kokonharju's formula enables about 640 new residents to the area.

The planning of Kokonharju's municipal engineering and recreation areas continues about the end of the housing fair project despite. The city will reevaluate the construction schedule in the area in the fall. Withdrawing from the fair project enables the construction of Kokonharju at a calmer pace.
