You can now borrow bicycle repair tools from the library

Through the City of Riihimäki's 2026 Participatory Budgeting, Riihimäki City Library received equipment for bicycle repair. You can now borrow a bicycle repair stand, repair kit and foot pump from the library.

You can borrow bicycle repair equipment with your Ratamo library card. The loan period is 14 days. The loan cannot be renewed. This ensures that as many people as possible have access to the equipment. Equipment can be reserved. Please note that equipment can only be borrowed and returned to Riihimäki Library, not to other Ratamo libraries in the surrounding area. Please keep the equipment clean and intact. Broken or lost equipment will be charged at the purchase price. The budget allocated for purchasing the equipment was €1000.

If you do not have a library card, you can come and get one at the library. Please bring a photo ID with you. Did you know that you can also borrow various tools, games, exercise equipment, and a sewing machine and hem stitcher from the library? Borrowing items is free. Please read the instructions for use and borrowing policies carefully before using the items.
