Riihimäki Circular Economy Week will be celebrated on 13–19 April 2026 on a larger scale than in previous years. The purpose of the week is to raise awareness of the opportunities of the circular economy and to introduce circular economy operators located in Riihimäki.

"The city of Riihimäki aims for zero waste and sustainable consumption of natural resources. The circular economy can help everyone consume less and save money and natural resources. This aspect is now being highlighted more strongly and in a more diverse way. There is more of a program than in previous years, I hope that the city's residents will participate in large numbers!", invites the city's environmental expert Jenni Takala.

During the theme week, events will be organized by, among others, the library, recycling center, cultural and event services, adult education center and the meeting place Riksula. In addition, Kiertokapula Oy will organize an open day at the new Riihimäki roundabout (Ansatie) on Wednesday, and Stena Recycling Oy will organize a Recycling Day on Saturday. All events during the week are free of charge and open to all city residents.
