City bikes return to the streets on April 1st – get a cheap season pass

City bikes will return to the streets of Riihimäki and be available to city residents at the beginning of April. A total of 120 bikes will be available at approximately 40 bike stations around the city.

The locations of the stations are the same as in 2024. The most popular stations last summer were at the railway station, Granit Square, Atomi shopping center (Prisma), the Otsola residential area, and Lounaspuisto next to the library.

“The locations of the stations can be changed based on feedback and usage levels, even during the cycling season,” says the city's traffic technology expert Kimmo Männistö.

The city bike is rented from a bike station. During the rental, you can ride the bike anywhere and lock and unlock it as many times as needed. The rental ends by returning the bike to one of the bike stations. Remember to bring your own bike helmet with you!

With a season pass, you can ride affordably throughout the entire cycling season.

Bike rentals are done using the Donkey Republic mobile app. You can rent bikes either with a one-time fee, a monthly membership, or a season pass valid for the entire cycling season. A season pass covering the entire cycling season costs 35 euros. The cycling season lasts until the end of October.

With a season pass, you can use city bikes throughout the season as often as you want. Single rentals of less than an hour are included in the season pass. Single rentals of more than an hour are charged according to KaaKau Oy's price list for the excess.

In addition to Riihimäki, the season pass is valid in all other cities where the Donkey Republic application is used.
