City depot 40 years: welcome to the open day on May 21st
To celebrate the 40th anniversary, an open house event will be held at the city depot on Wednesday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to 14 p.m. The event will give city residents the opportunity to explore the depot area and the city's machinery and vehicle fleet. On display will be, among other things, a grader, a suction truck, road maintenance trucks, wheel loaders, and urban tractors.
The event also includes guided tours of the depot's interior, which are organized approximately every 30 minutes or according to demand. The interior features works by graffiti artist Hende Nieminen, among others.
A representative from Kiertokapula Oy will also be there to talk about waste management and recycling. In addition, Spanish slug pesticide is being distributed to city residents as an initiative implemented through participatory budgeting.
Coffee, juice and buns are available at the event.
The depot's address is VO Mäkinen katu 2.
Welcome!
