Pavement renovation works on Lopentie – concrete slabs for reuse for local residents

The City of Riihimäki's street services have begun sidewalk renovation work on Lopentie on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. During the work, the current concrete slabs will be removed and replaced with a new, safe and barrier-free walkway.

Possibility of reusing concrete slabs for local residents

The dismantled concrete slabs will be transported to the area near the Vahteristo outdoor fitness center, at Vahteristontie 8, at the end of the parking lot. Local residents have the opportunity to collect the slabs free of charge for their own reuse, for example, for yard construction or other purposes.

The size of the tiles is 6 x 35 x 35 centimeters. The collection area is open as long as there are enough tiles.
