Age-free Rixublock concert in Riihimäki in July – Olga and Hugo on stage

An age-free Rixublock concert will be held at Riihimäki Market Square (Torikuja 6) on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Finnish pop stars Hugo and Olga will take the stage at the event.

The festival atmosphere is complemented by local youth bands Juntit, Thyte and The Troublemakers. The evening is hosted by Riihimäki actress Janita Juvonen, who is well-known from theatre stages.

Collaboration enables a unique event

Rixublock is organized in collaboration with the city's cultural and event services and Hanaa Festival. This is a unique collaboration for cultural and event services, as Hanaa Festival's executive producer Eetu Gråsten has offered the entire festival area to the city of Riihimäki.

Without this significant support, the event on this scale would not be possible. Thanks to the collaboration, young people under the age of 18 will have the opportunity to gather at the festival site the day before the actual Hanaa Festival for their own outings.

“Riihimäki has always been a particularly important city for me. For several years now, I have had a strong desire to do something concrete for the city: to build the city’s vitality and sense of community. This idea also gave rise to my interest in, for example, the Hanaa festival. I see a lot of potential in the festival to bring people together and create positive energy in the city. At the same time, I have been thinking for a long time about how I could lend a hand, especially to children and young people. After all, they are the future. I want to be involved in creating experiences that inspire, connect and leave a lasting positive mark. Riihimäki deserves investment – ​​and its young people in particular deserve to be seen and heard,” says Eetu Gråsten, executive producer of the Hanaa festival.

The festival atmosphere starts already on Thursday

The Hanaa Festival will be held for the sixth time at Riihimäki Market Square on 10–11 July 2026. The first-ever Rixublock will serve as the festival's official warm-up event on Thursday 9 July. Tickets for the Rixublock concert are available at Ticket agent.fiThe concert is also valid with a Kaikukortti card.

“Rixublock is a wonderful example of what can be achieved through collaboration. The possibility of using the area has made it possible to realize our long-standing dream. We wanted to create something big and spectacular for young people – and now it is coming true. We warmly welcome all young people to Rixublock. Together, let's create an unforgettable concert in Riihimäki Market Square,” says cultural producer Minttu Seppo.

Daytime activities for the whole family

Before the evening's mega concert, a Rixublock Junior event for the whole family will be held at the festival grounds. The children's concert, which starts at 14 p.m., will feature the cheerful and energetic band Mutaveijarit, who will take the audience on a musical adventure by the water. The concert is free of charge.

On the same day, there are other things happening for young people in the city: ten new electrical cabinets will be painted at the Boxes event, and the Riihimäki Basketball Club will organize a street basketball event at Granit Square.
