At the beginning of the year, the city of Riihimäki implemented an annual personnel survey. As a whole, the results of the city of Riihimäki in 2025 are at a good level, just like the previous year.

The results of the personnel survey were compared with the results of similar surveys conducted by the survey's partner (Feelback Oy) in other municipalities and cities. According to the results, Riihimäki's strengths are particularly the content of the work, the management of the immediate superior, and the motivation of the personnel.

Personnel feel they enjoy the trust of their superiors

In the personnel survey, employees gave the highest rating to the content of the job, 5,0 on a scale of 1–6. The content of the job was assessed using, among other things, the statements I find my current job important and valuable, My work is varied, My work is suitably challenging, and I enjoy my job.

The work of immediate supervisors also received excellent ratings again. On a rating scale of 1–6, the work of immediate supervisors received a rating of 4,9. The personnel feel that it is easy to turn to their supervisor. The personnel also feel that they enjoy the trust of their supervisor and that their supervisor acts fairly.

Assessments of community spirit are also at a good level: staff feel they receive help and support from their colleagues whenever needed (5,1).

The personnel survey collects information about employees' and supervisors' views on their own work, their well-being at work, and their work community.

The aim of the personnel survey is to find concrete areas of development in work units and across the city that the city will pay attention to in the future. In this year's survey, cooperation between different sectors and information flow emerged as development needs at the city level.

Assessments of top management leadership have improved for the third year in a row. The transparency and adequacy of the city management's communication is perceived to have improved. Personnel feel that Riihimäki is developing in the direction indicated by the strategy.
