At the beginning of the year, the city of Riihimäki implemented an annual personnel survey. As a whole, the results of the city of Riihimäki in 2024 are at a good level, just like the previous year.

The results of the personnel survey were compared with the results of similar surveys of other municipalities and cities carried out by the survey's partner Feelback Oy. According to the results, Riihimäki's strengths appear to be the management of immediate supervisors, the motivation of the personnel, the goal orientation of the work and the factors related to the content of the work.

It is easy to turn to the person in charge

In particular, close supervisor work gets excellent marks in the city of Riihimäki. The personnel feel that it is easy to turn to the supervisor. Personnel also feel that they enjoy the trust of their superiors, and the actions of superiors are perceived as fair.

More than 80 percent of the respondents said that they felt their work was important and meaningful and varied enough. Similarly, almost 80 percent answered that they can influence their working methods.

Assessments of the sense of community are also at a good level: the personnel feel that they get help and support from their colleagues whenever needed.

The personnel survey collects information about the views of employees and supervisors about their own work, their well-being at work and their work community. With the help of the personnel survey, the goal is to find concrete development areas in the work units and for the city as a whole, to which the city's employer should pay attention in the future.

Cooperation between different industries and information flow emerged as development needs at the city level from this year's survey.

About 60 percent of the staff responded

768 people responded to the personnel survey, which is 62 percent of the entire personnel of the city of Riihimäki. Feelback Oy was the partner of the survey for the second time. A total of approximately 1 employees work in the city of Riihimäki.

Supervisors will discuss the results with the staff of their work community by June 2024. The results have been announced within the city on April 3.
