Early voting for the European Parliament elections begins on Wednesday, May 29

Early voting for the European Parliament elections in Finland starts on Wednesday, May 29 and continues until Tuesday, June 4. There are three early voting locations in Riihimäki: Atomi shopping center, Merkos shopping center and Riihimäki library.

Remember to take your ID with you to the polling station - a driver's license will also work. The notification card does not have to be with you at the polling station, but a photo ID is sufficient. If you do not have an identity document, you can get a temporary identity card for voting free of charge from the police department.

The busiest time of the elections has traditionally been the first and last days of early voting and the actual election day. If you want to avoid traffic jams, consider scheduling your voting outside of these days. The actual election day is Sunday, June 9.

You can vote in advance at any advance voting station, also outside your own municipality.

The actual election day is June 9

On election day, you can only vote at the polling place marked on your notification card. On the actual election day, polling stations are open from 9 a.m. to 20 p.m. You do not need a notification card to vote.
