The first-ever Momentum business fair will showcase companies from the Riihimäki region

The first Momentum business fair will be held in Riihimäki on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The free event, held at Cocks Areena, will bring together companies, entrepreneurs, municipal actors and residents of Riihimäki, Hausjärvi, Loppi and Janakkala.

"The Momentum business fair is a visible starting point for even stronger regional cooperation. We want to bring companies closer to the residents of the municipality and make the region's expertise known," says Samuel Koivisto, CEO of Business Riihimäki.

Up to 5,000 visitors are expected to attend the fair to learn about local services, find new businesses, and meet entrepreneurs in their own area face to face.

Business Riihimäki, Riihimäen Yrittäjät ry and the City of Riihimäki are organizing the business fair in cooperation with the municipalities of Hausjärvi, Janakkala and Loppi, as well as entrepreneurs and entrepreneur organizations.

The event aims to make the region's businesses known, increase cooperation and strengthen the vitality of the area. At the same time, residents will get to know the businesses, services and expertise of their own region.

The Riihimäki region is home to approximately 4,300 active companies in various sectors, from industry and construction to services, trade, and welfare and expert services. The companies create jobs, services, and growth in the region, but their expertise is not always visible to the local residents.

"The Momentum business fair opens a new path for an increasingly competitive Riihimäki region and stronger cooperation between companies and municipalities. Now is the right time to build this future together," says Jouni Eho, Mayor of Riihimäki.

In recent years, Riihimäki has strengthened cooperation between entrepreneurs and the city, for example by launching a city councilors' sponsorship program for companies together with Riihimäen Yrittäjä. The business fair continues the same goal on a regional scale.

“The fair offers companies a unique opportunity to make their expertise known, meet new customers and highlight the importance of entrepreneurship for the entire region,” says Mikko Suonpää, chairman of Riihimäen Yrittäjät.

The free event is open to the public on Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. During the day, Cocks Arena will feature company presentations, speeches, entertainment and other programs for visitors of all ages.
