Master upholsterer Maija Nurmi will talk about furniture upholstery, the materials and tools needed, and the different stages of upholstery. She will be at the Riemu Museums (Temppelikatu 8) on Saturday, March 8th from 13–15 pm to demonstrate furniture upholstery and answer questions.

The event is connected to the exhibition The Story of a Chair on display at the museum. The joint exhibition of Riihimäki City Museum and Riihimäki Art Museum, which fills almost the entire museum, leads the viewer through centuries and history, from antiquity to the present day. Chairs, antiques, paintings and sculptures are on display. The exhibition has been created using the collections of Riihimäki City Museum and Riihimäki Art Museum, as well as private collections, chairs loaned by other museums and companies, and other exhibition materials.

You can participate in the event for the price of the museum admission fee.
