Private early childhood education

There are three private daycare centers in Riihimäki. There are also private family daycare workers working in their own homes in different parts of the city. You can inquire about care places for private day care directly from the service provider or centrally from the early childhood education service supervisor.

  • When you choose a private service for your child, you can apply for private care support paid by Kela and municipal supplement for private care paid by the city of Riihimäki. You can find more information about the conditions and application for private care support on Kela's website.

    The municipal supplement for private care is paid when early childhood education is provided by a private service provider (nurse at home, private family day care provider or private daycare) and Kela has made a positive decision to support private care. In addition, it is required that the service is used more than 25 hours a week.
