Kontiontie daycare

Our daycare mainly serves the areas of Uramo, Petsamo and Juppala. We offer daycare for children aged 0-5. The daycare center has about a hundred care places. There are six groups.

Our daycare center is located in a quiet location, yet close to the possibilities of the city center. The location near the city center facilitates the use of various services, for example the library and sports fields. The forest near the daycare center is also in active use. Our kindergarten has a distribution kitchen.

The daycare was completed in 1971 and renovated in 1997. The grounds of the daycare were renovated in 2015.

Our daycare center is open from 6.30:17.00 a.m. to 17.30:XNUMX p.m. and, by special arrangement, until XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. due to parents' work or studies.
We offer early childhood education based on the principle that everyone has the right to be accepted and to experience success. In our kindergarten, every child has the right to a hug and we hope they use it. We listen to the child while focusing on the situation, we take the child in our arms, touch the child and comfort the child.

We think that good self-esteem is built on the feeling of being loved and accepted and on positive experiences. We believe that where there is love and warmth, well-being is born.

Educational cooperation is the basis of everything. We treat families openly and respectfully and see the wishes of the homes as things that support our work. The adult is responsible for the child's well-being and learning, but the child makes choices about himself. With us, adults create a model of good interaction and atmosphere with their own behavior.
