Registration daycare

Our daycare center is located on the grounds of a former farmhouse right next to the forest, so we have great opportunities for being in nature and exploring nature. We started our operations in 1992 in a two-story building, with three departments located on the upper floor. Downstairs, there is a 150-seat civilian shelter Kellari, where the Mannerheim Children's Protection Association's family cafe operates on Mondays.

The 54-place daycare center on the upper floor mainly serves the areas of Kirjaus, Kumela, Lemmenmäki, Otsola, Uramo and Vehmas. The daycare center has a distribution kitchen where a food service manager works.

  • Our daycare center is open from 6.30:17.00 a.m. to 17.30:XNUMX p.m. and, by special arrangement, until XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. due to parents' work or studies.

  • Snacks for life

Every child is good and unique with their own needs, strengths, weaknesses and areas for growth. Every adult in our daycare center is an educator who sets safe and consistent boundaries, each in their own personal way.

    We raise each other!

While playing, the child explores his environment. There must be time and space for play. From an adult's point of view, a trivial fact can be a great source of wonder and the beginning of learning for a child. There can also be more than one answer to one problem.

A versatile activity that utilizes all sensory channels gives all children the opportunity to explore and learn.

Rushing and the large number of human contacts is a stress factor for the child. Activities in small groups enable real interaction with other children and adults. Disruptive factors are reduced and we adults have better time to listen, notice, help and just be available. Practicing social skills in a small group does not become overwhelming for the child.

Nature is an inexhaustible source of experiences and a place for adventures. Nature and environmental education starts with the little ones in the safe yard of the kindergarten. The birth of an experiential relationship with nature is the beginning of nature conservation and sustainable development!
