Junailijankatu daycare
Junailijanjakatu daycare operates in the Karlskoga building, which is located right in the center of the city. The daycare center is divided into two buildings, the main Kalle building and the Ville section. The Kalle main building was founded in 1951. Four children's groups and the Aapeli-Avoin daycare center operate on three different floors of the atmospheric stone building. There are three groups working in the Ville slice.
The children's groups at our daycare center work in small groups. Our small group activities are also connected to the use of pictures, which help the children to visualize and follow the day's course and events.
The special theme of our daycare center is play. The staff has become familiar with the game through training and constantly updates their knowledge as the operation progresses. The purpose is to create as much space and time for play as possible in all groups of children.
The staff has also been trained around the theme of inclusion. The training has been practical and the goal is to develop our operations so that children's and parents' participation in the everyday life of our daycare could increase even more.

Play
When playing, the child succeeds and is good just the way he is. The world of play is ruled by the child. The purpose is to create as much time and space as possible for play, while listening to the children's ideas and wishes.
Adult
The adult is present, listens, sets limits and gives the opportunity for growth and learning by guiding, helping and supporting.
Family
Cooperation with the whole family leads to the desired values and goals. The Junailijat parents' committee works in our daycare center.
The importance of diversity - as an individual in a group
All children have different needs. The staff trains and works professionally with their own personality to support the development of each child
Learning environment
The activity period always begins with an observation of the children's group, on the basis of which, together with the children, we modify the group's operating spaces. Observing and editing is a living process that lasts throughout the operating period. Play and learning peace, which are practiced in group and small group situations, are important. In addition, the daycare center's central location gives you the opportunity to get to know your home region in a variety of ways
