Junailijankatu daycare center
Junailijanjakatu daycare center is located right in the city center. The daycare center is divided into two buildings, the main Kalle building and the Ville section. Kalle-päätalo was founded in 1951 and is the oldest daycare center in the city. Four children's groups and the Aapeli-Avoin daycare center operate on three different floors of the atmospheric stone building. Three groups operate in the barrier-free Ville slice.
The special theme of our daycare center is play. The staff has become familiar with the game through training and constantly updates their knowledge as the operation progresses. The purpose is to create as much space and time for play as possible in all groups of children.
-
Our daycare center is open from 6.30:17.00 a.m. to 17.30:XNUMX p.m. and, by special arrangement, until XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. due to parents' work or studies.

Play
When playing, the child succeeds and is good just the way he is. The world of play is ruled by the child. The purpose is to create as much time and space as possible for play, while listening to the children's ideas and wishes.
Adult
The adult is present, listens, sets limits and gives the opportunity for growth and learning by guiding, helping and supporting.
Family
Cooperation with the whole family leads to the desired values and goals.
The importance of diversity - as an individual in a group
All children have different needs. The staff trains and works professionally with their own personality to support the development of each child
Learning environment
The activity period always begins with an observation of the children's group, on the basis of which, together with the children, we modify the group's operating spaces. Observing and editing is a living process that lasts throughout the operating period. Play and learning peace, which are practiced in group and small group situations, are important. In addition, the daycare center's central location gives you the opportunity to get to know your home region in a variety of ways
-
There are seven groups of children in our daycare center: Veijari, Viikari, Vintiö, Vekara, Karamellit, Poppari and Cotton candy. The age range of the groups may change in different years as needed.
Viikaris, Veijari, Vintiöt and Vekarat
In the Kalle main building, gathered on three floors, they are comfortable
- Veijari and Viikari are groups of 4-5 year olds on the first floor of the main building. Early childhood education teachers and two early childhood education nannies work in both groups. In addition, the vicars have a nanny for early childhood education.
- Vekarat and Vintiöt are preschool groups on the second floor of the kindergarten. Early childhood education teachers and two early childhood education nannies also work in these two preschool groups. In addition, in the period 2024-2025, preschool education has a teacher and a nurse for early special education for the joint use of both groups.
Cotton candy, Poppers and Caramels
In the Ville slice along the common corridor, Hattarat (1–3 years old), Popparit (2–3 years old) and Karamellit (3–4 years old) play cooperatively in three groups, each of which is staffed by an early childhood education teacher and two early childhood education nannies.
