Preschool education
Pre-school education is organized as an early childhood education activity in both kindergartens and schools. In pre-school education, the child is offered the opportunity for versatile play and activities. The child gets the opportunity to learn community and working in a group. Preschool education is a step into the world of knowledge and skills and it guides you to start school and the joy of learning.
The child must participate in preschool education or other activities that meet the goals of preschool education. Free preschool education is offered for four hours on other school days except Saturdays. The benefits are the same as for students participating in basic education. In addition to preschool education, families can apply for paid early childhood education outside preschool hours.
Private service providers organize activities similar to preschool education. Private day care is applied for through the service provider's own application procedure, in which case the benefits may differ from the benefits of municipal pre-school.
An indication of the pre-school place is sent to the guardians by letter to their home address.

The secondary pre-school search is organized at the same time as the confirmation of pre-school places.

The child has the opportunity to receive early childhood education that supplements preschool education. It is organized at the pre-school place and is for a fee. You can participate in supplementary early childhood education daily from 6.30:17 a.m. to 17.30:5.30 p.m., and until 18:XNUMX p.m. due to the guardians' work or studies, and in Uramo's early childhood education unit from XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. At Piikinmäki daycare center, preschoolers have the option of round-the-clock care.
Paid supplementary early childhood education is also organized during the school holidays. Children starting preschool can participate in paid early childhood education from the beginning of August.
If it is not possible to secure a place, make a secondary application or apply for supplementary early childhood education using electronic forms, the guardian should contact the early childhood education office.
