Swamps

There are also swamp areas in the reef. On the south side of the area, there is a steeply sloped suppa bog with small birch trees. It is a bog type of heather. The field layer of Sararämi is dominated by sedge and bottle sedge, and in the ground layer by sedge moss.

On the west side of Riuttanmäki, at the northern end of the fitness trail, there is a mostly treeless open swamp bordering the municipality of Lope. The edge of the bog is a thicket with pine, birch and spruce. The field layer is dominated by sparrows, such as the sparrow (pictured), the sparrow, the crow's berry and the heather. A large part of the bog is a mosaic of short-cropped and rippling. On the short basket sections, mostly cranberries and marsh flowers grow. On wet rim surfaces, more demanding species of marsh plants grow, such as woolly sedge and white sedge grass. At the southern end of the bog there is a tarn alder forest where, in addition to tarn alder, aspen, sedge birch and scotch grow.
