Here they are: The performers of the 2026 Block Gigs
Block gigs will once again bring live music into the everyday lives of city dwellers in the summer of 2026. The gigs, which take place in backyards, parks and blocks, enliven the summer cityscape and offer low-threshold cultural experiences for all ages.
The block gigs gathered over 80 gig offers, from which next summer's performers have now been selected. The summer program will feature eight Riihimäki bands, representing a variety of different musical styles. The city's residents were also able to participate in the planning of the event by suggesting gig venues in advance. Based on the suggestions, several interesting and atmospheric performance venues were selected from different parts of the city. Next summer, music will be enjoyed in, among other places, the Bad Segeberg park and the courtyard of the Kaunolanraitti apartment buildings.
The block gigs will be held on Thursdays at 6 pm from June 25th to August 13th, 2026.

Note! The block gigs are subject to weather conditions, in case of rain the gigs will be moved to Anton's house (Öllerinkatu 3).
The block gigs offer musical experiences to people's everyday lives where they live, and at the same time, the block gigs enliven the cityscape and contribute to the implementation of the Cultural Wellbeing Plan of the City of Riihimäki. The content of the block gigs is aimed at producing in such a way that they serve as many target groups and music tastes as possible. The performers at the gigs are mainly local music professionals and enthusiasts, and at the same time regional expertise is raised.

Duo Anna & Risto offers warm and atmospheric Pop-rock, combining strong interpretation, delicate arrangements and a performance that gets close to the audience.

Moldbrakers is an energetic band with a sound that blends pop and rock, combining heavy riffs, strong rhythms, and intense live energy.
