Riihimäki Cultural and Event Services organizes dozens of different and changing events annually for a variety of target groups. On this page you will find current information about all events.

Every Tuesday, we also publish a compilation of the city's current cultural events, Cultural Highlights of the Week. You can add your own event to the Menoinfo.fi service, which will also give it visibility on the city's cultural channels.

RIXUBLOCK offers the coolest Thursday night of the summer!

The youth outings organized in the Hanaa Festival area are here, so come and get the festival atmosphere started in advance!

Rixublock will be held on Thursday, July 9th at Riihimäki Market Square (Torikuja 6) from 6-10:30 PM, and promises a great line-up of performers: Hugo and Olga, two of Finland's top artists, will take to the festival stage. The atmosphere will be enhanced by the bands Thyte, Juntit and The Troublemakers from Riihimäki. The event will be hosted by actress Janita Juvonen, who is often seen on stage in theaters.

Let's blow up Riihimäki Market Square together - so grab your friends and come to the fair! The Rixublock event is open to all ages.

When you arrive in the area: Please leave your backpack at the cloakroom, you can only bring a small bag/fanny pack into the area for essential items. Please dress appropriately for the weather, umbrellas are not allowed in the area. There is no water point in the area, but you can buy refreshments in the café.
RiKos Street Jam 2026 – street basketball takes over the center of Riihimäki!

The Riihimäki Basketball Club is organizing a street basketball event open to everyone on Thursday, July 9.7th at Granit Square from 11 am to 16 pm.

Welcome to enjoy the summer and street basketball in good company! At the RiKos Street Jam event, there are no points or prizes, but the courts are open to everyone!
The game groups are always assembled on the hour and the games are set up – so no pre-registration. There will also be throwing competitions and raffles with great prizes!

The event will also feature a café with treats and refreshments.
Welcome to a free concert for the whole family on Thursday, July 9, when the country's famous Mutaveijarit will take to the stage of the Hanaa festival! Mutaveijarit is a happy and lively children's music group that adventures by the water, splashing and splashing.

During their more than 10 years of existence, Mutaveijarit has established themselves as one of the most popular children's music bands in the country. In 2020, Mutaveijarit was chosen as Children's Musician of the Year at the Jellona Children's Music Awards, and the band's previous album Nyt mennään! (2019) was chosen as Children's Album of the Year. Mutaveijarit is known for its energetic stage performance and captivating songs that combine several different musical styles, which are enjoyed by both children and adults. And now they are coming to Riihimäki, welcome!
