  • At the Spotlight on the Creator evenings, you will encounter the strong voices and personalities of Finnish music.
    The evening will be hosted by Anssi Känsälä, who will lead the audience directly into the artists' lives, thoughts and soulscapes. The artists' evenings do not stop at just scratching the surface, but now talk about stories, meanings and sources of creativity, without forgetting music of course.

    In the spotlight by the author -Erja Lyytinen:

    Erja Lyytinen is one of the leading blues-rock guitarists on the international touring scene. During her recording career, Lyytinen has released twelve studio albums and several live albums. Lyytinen has been voted among the best guitarists in the world in several polls, and now this legendary Finnish blues guitarist and singer-songwriter will take to the stage of the almost equally legendary Kino Sampo on Tue 21.4.2026 to be interviewed by Anssi Känsälä. Anssi Känsälä will lead the audience directly into the artist's life, thoughts and soul landscape. The author evenings do not stop at just scratching the surface, but now talk about stories, meanings and sources of creativity, without forgetting music of course.

  • Clothes Swap! is coming to Riihimäki – for the first time ever!

    Do you have unused treasures and unworn gems hidden in your closet? Bring them to the Clothes Exchange! evening on Tuesday, April 14, 26 from 6–8 p.m. and complete your wardrobe with new items. Clothes will be accepted between 3–5:30 p.m.

    What is the Clothes Swap event?

    Bring intact and clean clothes, accessories and shoes for recycling (max. 5 pieces). In exchange, you will receive purchase buttons for the number of clothes you brought, which you can use to choose the same number of new clothes. So 1 button = 1 purchase. So make free clothing finds in exchange for your own unwanted clothes. This time we are not accepting children's clothes.
    Clothes that do not find a new home during the evening will be donated to Diakonia's clothing point.

    The evening will be crowned by the Fair Café, which is open from 17 p.m. to 20 p.m. The proceeds from the café will be donated to the Riihimäki Region Nature Conservation Association.

    Clothes for exchange! – Come and make discoveries and eco-friendly deeds

    • Bring a maximum of 5 items of clothing, accessories or shoes to exchange, you will receive the same amount of clothes with you.

    The event is open to everyone, free of charge and accessible.

    P.S. The Community College's craft and sports equipment flea market is also taking place, come and make something you've found with little money!

  • RIXUBLOCK offers the coolest Thursday night of the summer!

    The youth events organized in the Hanaa Festival area are here, so come and start the festival atmosphere in advance!

    A fantastic line-up of performers is expected: Finland's top artists Hugo and Olga will take to the festival stage. The atmosphere will be enhanced by the bands Thyte, Juntit and The Troublemakers from Riihimäki. The event will be hosted by actress Janita Juvonen, who is often seen on stage in theatres.

    Let's blow up Riihimäki Market Square together - so grab your friends and come to the fair! The Rixublock event is open to all ages.

  • Welcome to a free concert for the whole family on Thursday, July 9, when the country's famous Mutaveijarit will take to the stage of the Hanaa festival! Mutaveijarit is a happy and lively children's music group that adventures by the water, splashing and splashing.

    During their more than 10 years of existence, Mutaveijarit has established themselves as one of the most popular children's music bands in the country. In 2020, Mutaveijarit was chosen as Children's Musician of the Year at the Jellona Children's Music Awards, and the band's previous album Nyt mennään! (2019) was chosen as Children's Album of the Year. Mutaveijarit is known for its energetic stage performance and captivating songs that combine several different musical styles, which are enjoyed by both children and adults. And now they are coming to Riihimäki, welcome!
