Film, theater and associations
Riihimäki has a large number of cultural actors, associations and organizations. Kino Sampo is one of the oldest cinemas in Finland still in use, under whose wings the Riihimäki Youth Theatre and Film Association Kino Sampo operate.

Cinema Kino Sampo (located on Suokatu 9) is one of the oldest cinemas still in use in Finland. The film culture association Kino Sampo ry has been established to nurture and promote film culture in Riihimäki. The association shows high-quality films in the cinema Kino Sampo.
The association's goal is to expand the film offering in Riihimäki and bring people film experiences alongside commercial film activities. The association screens approximately 40 films annually in the spring, summer and autumn film series. Kino Sampo is available for rental for various events, more information at kulttuuri@riihimaki.fi

Riihimäki's Summer Theater
Riihimäki's new and magnificent summer theatre will be available to enjoy in June. A new covered 444-seat auditorium and technical room, a café building and public toilets have been built in the summer theatre area, as well as dressing rooms, toilets and maintenance facilities for the staff. The summer theatre space is available for rent. During the summer season (May-August), Riihimäen Teatteri Oy is responsible for renting it, and outside the summer season, cultural and event services are responsible for renting it.Riihimäki Theatre Club
