Anton's house is located in a culturally and historically significant area. In the Railway Park area.

Anton's House, Öllerinkatu 3, was completed in 1858 as a civil service building. It was initially intended for four families. When railway traffic began in 1862, the building housed the stationmaster's apartment, a telegraph office, a ticket office and station premises. The building was expanded in 1960. Until 1970, it served as VR's office premises, after which the city leased the premises as the mayor's employee residence and the city museum. The city has owned the building since 1993.

In the summer of 2024, the building became Antoni's House, a cultural and community space. Antoni's House houses the cultural and event services of the City of Riihimäki, open welfare services, and spaces for rent to communities.

The building houses the facilities of two different city services, and they are available for reservation.

The premises of Riihimäki Cultural and Event Services, Antoni Hall, are available for rent for association and club activities as well as for private users. The space is not available for rent for regularly recurring events.

Facilities for open welfare services

The premises are located on the right-hand side of the Antoni building entrance. Open welfare services offer premises for the use of associations and organizations. The premises can be used for meetings, courses, clubs and events on weekday evenings from 15 pm to 22 pm and on weekends from 8 am to 22 pm. The premises cannot be booked for private party use. The booking period includes preparation and final cleaning. The space rental includes use of the shared kitchen. The kitchen has a coffee maker, kettle and microwave. Each meeting room has its own coffee and water thermos. Dishes can be borrowed.

Meeting rooms:

  • Uno: 20 people (smartboard with HDMI and memory stick connection)
  • Hilda: 30 people (smartboard with HDMI and memory stick connection)
  • Andriette: 10-15 people (no meeting technology)

Organizing activities that are open to everyone and free of charge at the building is free of charge. Closed group and meeting reservations are charged according to the Culture and Wellbeing facility usage price list. Associations that support the city's goals of promoting well-being and health can reserve facilities through the reservation service.

Facilities for cultural and event services

Antoni's hall and courtyard building are rented by cultural and event services. The hall is located on the left side of the entrance.

Anton's hall is available for rent for associations and clubs as well as private users. The space is not available for rent for regular events. The hall is well suited for family gatherings, meetings or small events.

Anton's hall offers table seating for about fifty people, and without tables, the space can accommodate up to 80 people standing. The hall is a self-service space, meaning each renter builds it to suit their own event, and the hall has tables and chairs for 50 people. The hall has a piano and a smart board. The space is available for rent from Monday to Sunday from 8 am to 22 pm. The yard of Anton's house is also available. The renter cleans the hall after use.

The hall rental also includes a modern kitchen area, which includes a large refrigerator and freezer, stove, oven, two microwaves, coffee maker, thermoses, and a dishwasher.
There are dishes for approximately 50 people and coffee sets for 35 people. The rental does not include tablecloths or textiles. Please note that the rental period must also include the event's preliminary preparations and final cleaning.

If the reservation time is changed or canceled completely at least two weeks before the event or earlier, there will be no charge for the reservation or change. If the property is broken or otherwise damaged during the rental, the costs will be charged to the renter.
