The Library participates in the Riihimäki City Culture Path and therefore we offer following services:
These include orders and contacts for library services for children and young people. (Contact information at the bottom of the page)
Information technology specialist Reijo Kumpulainen is responsible for teaching information retrieval in secondary schools. (Contact information at the bottom of the page)
Please make an appointment for your own class in time.
Book packages are borrowed with the teacher's community card. With it, books from library visits are also borrowed for the class. The community card is obtained from the library's customer service by presenting a photo ID.
The book package can be ordered either in the fall or spring. The children's and youth department collects the book packages in the order they are ordered; the normal delivery time is a couple of weeks, longer in peak times. The city's contracted courier delivers the packages to the school. Teachers order return transportation from the courier themselves via text message. The courier's phone number is included with the bags.
Classes can visit the library independently on weekdays starting at 9 a.m. Customer service starts at 11 a.m., but the staff of the children's and youth department will serve classes even before that, if possible.
Contacts and book package orders for children's and young people's library services, primarily via email.
