On this page you will find the services offered by Riihimäki Library for schools.
The Library participates in the Riihimäki City Culture Path and therefore we offer following services:
Preschool and 3rd grade visits are booked via the ARX Cultural Center link.
Reservations for 8th grade genre tips: contact librarian Mari Nyström. (Contact information at the bottom of the page.)
Book packages and books for library visits to classes are borrowed with the teacher's community library card. The card can be obtained immediately from the library's customer service, as long as you bring a photo ID.
The package can be ordered in the fall or spring. They are collected in the order they are ordered; the delivery time is a couple of weeks. The city courier delivers the packages to the school. The teacher can order return transportation from the courier by text message. The courier's phone number is included in the loan receipt with the book package.
Reservations for services in the adult department: Information Specialist Reijo Kumpulainen. (Contact information at the bottom of the page)
Please make an appointment for your own class in time.
Classes can visit the library independently on weekdays starting at 9 a.m. Customer service starts at 11 a.m., but the staff of the children's and youth department will serve classes even before that, if possible.
Contacts and book package orders for children's and young people's library services are primarily via email.
