Riihimäki Library's e-materials

Riihimäki Library offers customers various digital materials, or e-materials. This page briefly introduces the services. The services and links can also be found elsewhere on the library's website. Some of the materials are shared by Ratamo libraries, while some of the services have been purchased only for some libraries. As a rule, you can use online services purchased by your own municipality and services used in the library's premises.

Use anywhere:

E-library

A service that can be used with a mobile application, where you can read e-books and digital magazines and listen to audiobooks. You can use the service with strong authentication, you don't need a library card. You can download the free application from the Google Play and App store services. Check out the E-library. Cineast movie service

A movie service with nearly 2 movies to watch. During the month, you can borrow four movies. Loan limits are always reset on the first day of each month. The loan period is 000 hours. Loans are automatically returned from the customer's information at the end of the loan period. You can use the service with a web browser and an application that can be downloaded for free for mobile devices and Android TV. To use it, you need a Library card and pin code. PressReader magazines

The service has over 7,000 newspapers and magazines from 100 countries in 60 languages. The magazines are virtual versions of printed magazines and are available for reading for 60 days from the date of publication. The service is available on library computers and on the wireless network. Outside the library, you log in to the service with your library card number and pin code. When you log in, click on the character image in the top right, then click on “Library or Group” and search for “Ratamo Libraries” in the list. Naxos music service

Naxos Music Library offers over 200,000 CDs of music. Most of the selection is classical, but there is also blues and world music. Logging in to the service is done with your library card number. Listen to music on the Naxos service. (Riihimaki.naxosmusiclibrary.com.)

Naxos Music Library Jazz contains approximately 35,000 records of jazz and blues. Log in to the service with your library card number. Remember to log out when you are finished listening. Listen to music on the Naxos Jazz service. (Riihimaki.naxosmusiclibrary.com.)

ePress newspaper service

The ePress service is available on the library's computers and on your own device via the library's wireless network. The service allows you to read almost all newspapers published in Finland in print versions. It also includes a few Swedish and Norwegian newspapers.  Read newspapers in the ePress service.
