Riihimäki Library's e-materials

Riihimäki library offers customers various digital materials, i.e. e-materials. The services are briefly presented on this page. From the name of the service, you can access that service via a link. Services and links can also be found elsewhere on the library's website. Some of the materials are common to the entire Ratamo, some of the services have been purchased only for some libraries. As a general rule, you can use online services purchased by your municipality and services used in the library premises.

Use anywhere:

E-library

A service that can be used with a mobile application, where you can read e-books and digital magazines and listen to audiobooks. You can use the service with strong authentication, you don't need a library card. You can download the free application from the Google Play and App store services.

Cineast

A movie service with nearly 2 movies to watch. During the month, you can borrow four movies. Loan limits are always reset on the first day of each month. The loan period is 000 hours. Loans are automatically returned from the customer's information at the end of the loan period. You can use the service with a web browser and an application that can be downloaded for free for mobile devices and Android TV. To use it, you need a Library card and pin code.

PressReader magazines

The service has more than 7 newspapers and magazines from 000 countries in 100 languages. The magazines are visual versions of printed magazines and they can be read immediately from the date of publication for 60 days. The service is available on library computers and wireless network. Outside of the library, you log in to the service with your Library card number and pin code. When logging in, click on the character's picture on the top right, then the "Library or Group" button and search for "Ratamo Libraries" in the list. You can also install the PressReader application for mobile devices.

Naxos music

Naxos music services are available to all Ratamo customers. Naxos is a real treasure trove of music, you should check out its wide selection!

In the Naxos Music Library, you can listen to almost 140 CDs of music. Most of the selection is classical, but there is also blues and world music. In the service you can e.g. take a tour of classical music from the 000th century or listen to the dialects of the British Isles. Login with the Library card number.

Naxos Music Library Jazz covers a collection of thousands of records, e.g. jazz, blues and world music. Login with the Library card number. Remember to log out after you finish listening, thank you!

Rockway Music Classes

With the help of the Rockway service, you can study e.g. the basics of playing the bass or the ukulele. The loan period for an individual course is two weeks. Log in to the service's website with your Library card number. In addition, you have to register in order to borrow courses. A word of warning: Rockway may also use contact information for marketing.

ePress

In the ePress service, Riihimäki libraries offer the possibility to read printed versions of Finnish newspapers. The service is available on the library's computers and with your own device on the library's wireless network.
