Celia services for people with reading disabilities

The accessibility library Celia is a state-run special library that produces and distributes literature for people with reading disabilities in the form of e-audiobooks and audiobooks, among other things.

A reading barrier can be, for example:

  • visual impairment or impaired vision
  • reading and/or learning difficulties
  • disability
  • obstacles related to movement (for example muscle disease, rheumatism, impaired muscle condition)
  • problems related to cognitive skills (for example, concentration and learning difficulties, ADHD, memory disorders, aphasia)
  • temporary impediment to reading (for example, recovery time from an illness)

Become a Celia customer through the Riihimäki city library

An appointment will be reserved for you to create domain names. With the credentials, you can listen to and download the Accessibility Library Celia's audio books online. To get credentials, you must have a valid e-mail address.

If you have difficulty using online services, you can borrow Celia's physical audiobooks in CD format from the library. You can listen to them on your computer, MP3 or DVD player, or a special Daisy player, for example.
