Borrowable exercise equipment and tools

You can borrow exercise equipment with a library card during library service hours. The loan period for exercise equipment is 14 days, and the late fee is in accordance with the library's valid price list. Damaged or lost equipment will be charged according to the purchase price of the equipment. Exercise equipment must be returned to Riihimäki library dry and cleaned during the library's service hours.

It is possible to reserve exercise equipment, but Riihimäki Library does not lend exercise equipment as regional loans, and exercise equipment loans cannot be renewed. Exercise equipment cannot be reserved from other Ratamo libraries either. You can search and reserve exercise equipment in the Ratamo online library. To make a reservation, you need the Ratamo library's Library card and pin code. You can also call or make a reservation while doing business in the library.

You need a library card to borrow a sewing machine and hemstitch.

• The machine loan period is 14 days.
• You can reserve the machine.
• The machine loan cannot be renewed.
• The only place to borrow and return devices is Riihimäki Library, which means you cannot borrow devices to other Ratamo libraries.
• The machines come with a small collection of needles, bobbins, sewing and overlock threads, and other supplies. However, we recommend using your own threads.
• The machine comes with an instruction manual. Please follow these instructions.
• As a borrower, you are responsible for threading and using the machines yourself.
• Please leave the bobbins of your sewing machine empty after sewing.
• Please return the machine preferably to the library's customer service desk.
• After returning the machine, the library will check that all parts are included in the package.
