Studying Finnish

Learning Finnish takes place at school, but also in your free time. The Finnish language opens up opportunities for you to enter the workforce, but it also promotes your opportunities for participation and managing your own everyday affairs. It is important to learn Finnish so that you can function as an active member of society!

Finnish can be studied in Riihimäki through integration training, Riihimäki Adult Education Center and open Finnish language teaching groups. In addition, Finnish can be studied through various educational websites, phone applications such as Lingvis, Duolingo and YouTube channels.

When learning a new language, it is important to expose yourself to the new language and practice speaking it. We encourage you to listen to plain Finnish programs and speak Finnish whenever possible. Greeting a neighbor or schoolmate in Finnish is a good start.

You can always come and ask Kotola for more information about the possibilities of studying Finnish.
