Commissioning of the building

The building and its surroundings must meet the health, strength and fire safety requirements (MRL Land Use and Construction Act Section 117). This also applies to a new building to be commissioned.

Ask the building control authority for a commissioning review of the building, in which case at least the following requirements must be met for the premises to be commissioned.

Readiness for technical maintenance of the property

  • Water equipment installations must be approved for use. Order a viewing from the Riihimäki city's building control.
  • The contractor must perform a commissioning inspection for electrical installations and present a certificate of this at the commissioning inspection of the building.

  • It is necessary to be able to reach the operational temperature of the indoor air in living spaces. Structural moisture must be dried out.
  • The amount of harmful pollutants in the indoor air must be below the recommended values ​​(emissions from building materials and reactions occurring in them).
  • Food preparation facilities and food storage and eating facilities must be in working order, and at least one toilet must be in working order and the possibility of washing must be in order. If the plans include a shower, that should work too.
  • There must be enough sleeping and living spaces ready for everyone who comes to live.
  • Clothing maintenance must operate reasonably.
