Movement week

European Mobility Week is celebrated annually in September, from 16 to 22 September. The aim of the week is to encourage people to reflect on their everyday mobility choices and their impact on the environment, society and health. All forms of smart mobility are on display, such as walking, cycling, public transport and smarter driving.

Free on buses and city bikes all week

In Riihimäki, travelling on R-liikken buses (including R-kyyti) and renting city bikes is free of charge throughout the entire Liikkuja week. For city bikes, the free rental period applies to rentals of up to one hour. Try it and you'll love it!

The week ends with Car Day on September 22nd.

During Mobility Week, European cities and municipalities organize events to promote sustainable mobility. The official participants of Mobility Week are cities, but clubs and associations, for example, are also welcome to organize events.
