Bus schedules are planned in such a way that they serve as well as possible as a connection to trains. However, trains leave from Riihimäki so frequently, especially in the mornings, that it is not possible to connect all of them in such a way that there would be no waiting time. The aim is to ensure good connecting connections, at least to local trains in the direction of Helsinki.

Bus schedules are planned to be as compatible as possible with the start and end times of schools and educational institutions as well. Schools and educational institutions decide their own start and end times, so the times may vary. In addition to schools, bus timetables must also take into account, for example, the aforementioned connections to trains. In addition, one bus line can take students to several different schools. Consequently, it is not possible to plan bus timetables in such a way that there is no waiting time for at least some of the school children.

To make the journey of your fellow travelers more comfortable, please kindly give up the seat next to you and store your bags for the duration of the journey, for example on the floor or on your lap.

All buses in R traffic are low-floor, so you can easily board them with aids (prams, walkers, wheelchairs). The driver will help if necessary. There is no charge for transporting aids.

You can carry non-dangerous luggage on the bus, but the driver can refuse to take the luggage on board if there are many passengers or other luggage in the bus. There is no charge for transporting luggage.

You can transport harmless pets on the bus, but the driver can refuse to take the pet on board if there are many passengers or other pets in the bus. You can always bring police, guide and assistance dogs on the bus. There is no charge for transporting pets.

You may transport a bicycle or other similar means of transport on the bus, but the driver may refuse to take the means of transport if there are many passengers or other means of transport in the car. The bicycle or similar means of transport is placed in the space in the middle of the car and the customer takes care of securing it during the journey. There is no charge for transporting a bicycle or other similar means of transport.

While waiting at the stop, you must give the stop signal to the bus approaching the stop so that the driver knows to stop. Give the signal in time and visibly. In the dark, use a reflector, flashlight or mobile phone light to help. Please show the sign until the driver turns on the blinker. If it is difficult for you to recognize the car, it is safest to stop the car and ask the driver for directions.

Please always inform the first line driver of your intention to change, so that the driver can, if necessary, try to ensure the success of the change. The buses can sometimes be a little late, so the change may not be possible automatically.

Depending on the lines, you can also change elsewhere than at the train station, in which case there may be more exchange time.
