Built environment program

Design and construction create an attractive urban environment that is attractive to walk around and meet others. The built environment program defines the quality goals for the city's built environment and the measures to achieve the goals. The starting point for the goals and measures is the human scale.

Riihimäki's first Built Environment Program was prepared as part of the master plan 2035. The program was approved by the City Council on June 4, 2018, Section 66.

Implementation of the program

The implementation of the program is monitored in monitoring meetings held twice a year. The implementation of the program is ongoing and the entire organization of the City of Riihimäki promotes the implementation of the goals and measures presented in the program.
