Station plan change

The purpose of the site plan change is to enable the construction of a residential apartment building on the plot located at Keskuskatu 12. The goal is mainly a 6-story implementation so that the corner of Keskuskatu and Hämeenkatu is reserved for business premises. It is planned to place a lower parking space along Keskuskatu, with play and recreation areas on the roof.

  • The site plan change has been made at the landowner's request. The site plan work is done as a consultant under the guidance and supervision of the city of Riihimäki. The applicant is responsible for all the costs of preparing the site plan and the costs incurred by the city. In connection with the change in the site plan, a land use agreement is made before the plan is approved.

    The approximately 706 m² plot is owned by Kiinteistö Oy Riihimäki Pankinkulma. The zoned area is located in a central location, at the intersection of Keskuskatu and Hämeenkatu. The area is part of the dense downtown structure and the nationally significant built cultural environment of Riihimäki central business street.

The part of the building bordering Hämeenkatu is higher (6 floors), but with the facade architecture, it continues the eaves line of the Mäkelä house at the height of the fourth floor.
