Research permits

The City of Riihimäki's Department of Culture and Welfare requires a research permit for research that uses material other than that publicly available on the city's website. A research permit is required regardless of the method used to obtain the material.

  • open welfare services (Riksula)

  • community college.

Applying for a research permit

Apply for a research permit in the field of education and welfare in the following way:

1. Contact the unit where you want to conduct the study.

2. Once the research has been tentatively agreed with the unit, complete the research permit application.

3. Send the research permit application with attachments to the Riihimäki City Registry Office, scanned or in paper form, by post.

4. The application is processed by the department. The Director of Education makes a positive or negative decision on the research permit, which is subject to appeal. The decision is sent to the applicant for the research permit.
